Take a seat... Look up.

A sea of people... a flood of noise. Reunions and goodbyes. Many people passing by.
A chill, solace in the shade, a comforting cold on a warm summer's day. A cool blue sky without a cloud in sight. Various shades of blue flurrying by as the pedestrians carry themselves past the cube it stands. Still. Blue.
What draws it out to me? I see denim of various shades, clothing in a brighter true blue, and the reflection of the sky on building windows evoking a similar feeling to staring at your reflection in a puddle as the rain drips and drops, blurring the image away.
Blue overflows, the area of space and time.
A warm embrace, the warning honk signaling for pedestrians to move, in celebration as one.
In conversation, and in one's aloneness. In one's most spacious of accommodations in size and lavishness, to the emptiness of staring forward when the world feels like it has come to an end.
Blue blips by. In businessmen, tourists, dog owners, students, the MTA, and then again in the sky. A color so prevalent in the everyday, yet so unbearable, theoretical, political... ethical.
The consciousness one must have to have chosen the color blue today.
